About Irving Radiology | Board-Certified Teleradiology Services

Irving Radiology is a private, physician-led teleradiology group founded by Dr. Winston Irving, a board-certified radiologist based in Southwest Florida. We provide 24/7 diagnostic imaging interpretations to hospitals, imaging centers, and urgent care facilities nationwide.

Unlike large corporate radiology groups, Irving Radiology operates as a close-knit team of fellowship-trained subspecialists who prioritize clinical excellence, personalized service, and long-term partnerships with the healthcare facilities we serve.

From MRI and CT scans to X-rays, ultrasound, and mammography, we deliver accurate, timely interpretations that keep your operations running smoothly and your patients cared for—around the clock.

In 2016, Dr. Winston Irving was working as a radiologist in Lehigh Acres when a conversation with a colleague changed everything. A friend working in an ICU mentioned an opportunity at another hospital that needed radiology coverage — and Dr. Irving decided to take it on.

What started as coverage for one additional facility quickly grew as word spread. More hospitals reached out, each with the same underlying problem: they were getting radiology reads, but they weren't getting the clinical insight their patients deserved.

Dr. Irving saw a gap in how teleradiology was being practiced. Too many radiologists were checking boxes—reading images in isolation without considering the bigger clinical picture. But medicine isn't practiced in a vacuum. Radiologists are part of the care team, and their interpretations directly impact patient outcomes.

That realization became the foundation of Irving Radiology. Dr. Irving built a practice centered on one principle: What does the clinician need to know, and how does this finding affect patient care? By focusing on collaboration, clear communication, and actionable insights, he created a radiology group that doesn't just read images—it partners with physicians to deliver better patient care.

Today, Irving Radiology serves 40 healthcare facilities across six states, providing over 2 million diagnostic reads with the same commitment to quality and reliability that defined our earliest days.

Locally owned, nationally recognized

Irving Radiology is led by Dr. Winston Irving, a board-certified radiologist with fellowship training in musculoskeletal and interventional radiology and over 13 years of clinical experience. Dr. Irving trained at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis and is based in Southwest Florida.

Dr. Irving founded the practice in response to a problem he observed throughout the teleradiology industry: the physical distance between radiologists and patients was enabling substandard care and eroding accountability. Without face-to-face interaction, too many radiologists were operating in isolation, disconnected from the clinical impact of their interpretations.

Irving Radiology was built to counter that trend. As a boutique practice, we maintain rigorous accountability standards and prioritize direct access and personal relationships. Dr. Irving remains personally available to both his radiologist team and partner facilities, ensuring the collaborative, high-touch service that defines our practice.

Dr. Irving continues to oversee clinical operations while maintaining an active reading schedule, staying engaged in the day-to-day work that ensures Irving Radiology's commitment to clinical excellence.
